The day of your visit:
Please try to avoid eating or drinking anything that will stain your tongue, such as coffee, tea, grape juice or candy for at least an hour before arrival, as we will be examining your tongue and we want it to be its normal color. You will be most comfortable if you wear loose clothing, as acupuncture involves palpation and treatment of various parts of the body. Draping is provided to ensure modesty. Please refrain from wearing perfume, strongly scented oils and/or lotions on the day of your visit, as many patients are allergic to perfumes and fragrances.
Payment and insurance:
We accept cash and credit cards. Payment is expected at the time of your visit. Please see our Pricing and Insurance page for more information.
Acupuncture safety:
We only use sterile, single use, disposable needles, which are discarded into bio-hazardous waste containers. Prior to needle insertion the skin is swabbed with alcohol. Providers have been certified by Clean Needle Technique by National Certification Board of Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine (NCBAHM).
Herbal safety:
Dart Acupuncture PLLC takes the issue of herb safety very seriously. We have received training in drug and herb interactions. The practitioners are certified to practice Chinese Herbology by the NCBAHM and licensed by the State of Washington.
